Meet Maria

It's so nice to meet you! I'm a full-time copywriter for a faith-based non-profit and a part-time editor/content creator for a Christian ministry close to my heart. 

Recently, God has called me into a new role that has been in my prayers for years: wife to my wonderful husband, Bill. As God often does, He provided abundantly more than I could have imagined, and I became a stepmom, too! In this new stage of life, I've been adventuring into what it means to be a Proverbs 31 woman through the art of homemaking and godly parenting. We excitedly welcomed the fourth member to our family last fall, and our hearts are overjoyed! 

In 2014, I earned my Bachelor's in Professional Writing and Communication from Carlow University. I launched my career in the non-profit world, focusing on communications and writing in faith-based organizations. I've used my passion for writing to share the gospel and help people grow closer in their relationship with the Lord as they take their next step with Jesus! 

I'm an avid sports, fitness, and holistic health fan who loves to create ways to simplify all areas of my life. I was first introduced to minimalism in 2015 and have been on a journey to not just live with minimal possessions but to minimize the distractions that keep me from living out what God has for me!

Seek the Simple has been an ever-evolving idea in my head since 2016. I've wondered what this site could look like and what I would write about. After years of roller-coasting through weight loss journeys, spiritual growth, relationship trials, and perhaps a slight identity crisis, I've found that I'm living my fullest when my mind, body, and soul stay focused on the One who created me and not who the world says I should be. 

I'm delighted to use Seek the Simple to share what God is teaching me, tips and tricks to simple living, and everything in between!
