Healthy Ranch Dressing

I love ranch dressing, but I cannot for the life of me find a ranch dressing that doesn’t have lots of extra junk ingredients, so I set out on a quest to create my own version of ranch dressing packed with protein and only the good stuff.

This recipe is quick, easy, and tastes so much better than any options I’ve found on the grocery store shelves!

Plain Greek yogurt is the base of our dressing, and I love to use Stonyfield Organic Plain Greek Yogurt (0% fat)! It’s creamy, rich, and high in protein while lower in calories with zero fat. Fat is not our enemy at all. I prefer this yogurt in my dressing, but you can use the whole milk version. When using whole milk Greek yogurt, decrease the amount of milk because it’s naturally a little smoother already.

I use full-fat raw milk in my dressing, but you can use whatever you have. You can make this recipe without milk, too, but it helps keep the dressing at a smooth-dressing-like consistency, so I always prefer adding it. Plus, you get that good fat from whole milk filled with rich nutrients!

Lemon juice helps bring that little tangy punch that I love about ranch and keeps it fresh for about a week, but honestly, who keeps ranch around that long? It’s always gone within two days for me!

Let’s get spicy … you know, with the spices, you will add next …

I believe that when a generous amount of garlic and onion powder are added to most recipes, you’ll have a winner. Maybe not most recipes, but for sure, this one. Grab onion powder, garlic powder, salt (I use Celtic sea salt), pepper, dill weed, parsley, and my favorite little secret addition, freeze-dried chives.
